Port Canaveral Race

Race Starts February 9, 2023

Welcome to the Port Canaveral Race, which began in 2022 with a fast trip from Miami across the Gulfstream to a virtual mark off of Memory Rock (north of West End, Grand Bahama) and finishing with a sprint back across the stream to the finish at the Port Canaveral channel. Once ashore, competitors and visitors have a wealth of lodging, food and drink options either close to the Port Canaveral waterfront or just minutes down the coast in Cocoa Beach. There are many options for sightseeing or other activities, ranging from the Kennedy Space Center visitor complex down the coast to Ron Jon’s in Cocoa Beach, and beyond. The Awards Party and Cookout takes place at Jetty Park, Port Canaveral, overlooking the inlet, providing views of cruise ships doing their Saturday evening departures. In the event of a cold snap, the venue has a burn pit, and the SORC will be bringing the wood.

Join us for a fun race to an overlooked venue, and help us bring the SORC Islands in the Stream Series to a close and crown the new Champions.
